The Awesome Food Award

Cryslyn tagged me with this a number of weeks ago and I’ve finally been able to fill out the answers. :) Thank you, Cryslyn!

The rules:

1). Thank the person who nominated you, as well as link to their blog.
2). Answer the 10 questions provided.
3). Come up with 10 more questions that relate to food.
4). Nominate at least 5 people.
5). Let those people know they've been nominated.

Cryslyn’s questions:

1. Favorite ethnic food? ~ Mexican/southwest and Italian. (That was two, but they definitely tie.)

2. Who normally does the cooking in your home? ~ It shuffles around periodically. I’ve done a lot of the daily cooking at various times and seasons, but of late my sisters have been doing most of it.

3. Do your taste buds prefer sweet or salty? ~ Sweet.

4. Favorite snack food? ~ Glass upon glass of fresh whole milk.

5. Do you eat ice cream throughout the winter? ~ Good question... I like it year round. :)

6. What's your favorite meat? ~ Chicken.

7. On the side of your meal, do you prefer soup or salad? ~ Salad.

8. Chocolate or Vanilla? ~ Generally vanilla… in most cases… unless, on the other hand, I’m preferring chocolate.

9. How do you react to spicy foods? ~ I’m not big on flaming hot dishes, but I love all sorts of ethnic spiciness.

10. Top favorite meal in the history of ever? ~ There are so many! Off the top of my head: pizza with pesto, artichokes, and toasted garlic cloves, and I also love ice cream cake. Absolutely delicious!!

Thank you again for the questions, Cryslyn!

And now... guess what? I'm actually going to make some nominations this time! ;) And my nominees are...

And my questions for you:

1. Your thoughts on cheese?
2. Favorite pizza?
3. Have you always had a “traditional” dinner (i.e. turkey and all the fixings) on Thanksgiving?
4. Favorite Thanksgiving dish to prepare?
5. Your favorite breakfast?
6. Favorite kind of bread (i.e. whole wheat, French, sourdough, cinnamon-raisin, etc.)
7. Favorite vegetable?
8. Do you like sweet or sour?
9. Most unusual/unexpected ethnic dish you’ve ever had?
10. Hamburgers or hotdogs?

Have fun and I look forward to seeing your answers! :)

    1. Faith P,
I'm so happy to have you and glad you commented! And yes, indeed, it is! I took the header picture when I was able to visit there again last summer. (That entire area is one of my favorite places in the world. ;)) Have you ever been able to visit/I'm guessing you love it, too???

    2. I knew it!! :) hehe.
My family and I got to go on a great vacation this fall, which included spending a day in Yellowstone. ;) It was really pretty! The area around where your picture was taken was my favorite. :)

Isn't it gorgeous? (Incidentally, a lot of my current novel in progress happens in that corner of the world, so I'm one happy writer. ;D) I'm so glad you had a wonderful time!! :)

  7. I keep popping over to your blog intending to leave a comment, but then I don't have enough time to really concentrate and process my thoughts clearly, so I keep putting it off. Anyway, here I am at last. Just wanted to say thank you for commenting on my blog and for tagging me for this award. I really like the questions you came up with. I started getting ideas for answers almost right away, which is always fun! :)

Oh! I was just scrolling down your sidebar and I have to say, I love how you have all the pictures illustrating the things that you like! (You have a Tolkien quote, too! :)) And it looks like you have a lot of interesting posts, which I really want to look at more closely! It's almost overwhelming sometimes. All these lovely blogs with so many interesting things to read! I don't know how I'm going to keep up with it all! :)

    1. Miss March,
I know EXACTLY how that is.... ;) I'm looking forward to your answers!

And thank you for your kind words, I'm so glad you love it all! Yes, I know how that is, too: so many interesting things and wonderful people... and then the rest of life happens! It's hard to keep up sometimes. :P Whenever you can, you're always welcome and I'd love to hear your thoughts! ;)

I'd love to hear your thoughts and look forward to further confabulation. Please just be courteous to one and all. Oh, and I love thoughts on old posts, so comment away!

(Also of late -- what with time being finite, and Life Happening + managing multiple blogs and computer issues and all that -- I sometimes have to alternate between creating new content and replying to comments, but rest assured I'm thrilled to hear from each and every one of you and always hope to reply thoughtfully in full ASAP. <3)
