YES, I love P&P 1995 and Emma 2009! Those are my favorites as well.

7.) Okay, that Jane Austen apron sounds awesome!

10.) I love all the quotes you shared, especially the first one from Pride and Prejudice. :) Mollyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03431350009957158218noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8412327638222072810.post-34408148823299026732017-02-16T08:15:17.333-08:002017-02-16T08:15:17.333-08:00Yay for mothers who introduce us to Austen! :D
I ...Yay for mothers who introduce us to Austen! :D

I too had actually thought of Lily James as Fanny! And oooh, Richard Madden as Edmund? Sign me up. They would be adorable together. (But I'm not sure how well I'd handle him liking someone other than Lily for most of the film....)

Eee, I LOVE the quotes you chose, especially that first P&P one...and the Mr. Knightley ones....okay, all of them. :)Nataliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00315660089925645214noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8412327638222072810.post-2371645190346431752017-02-15T16:05:17.751-08:002017-02-15T16:05:17.751-08:00Heidi, I love that quote you chose from "Mans...Heidi, I love that quote you chose from "Mansfield Park"!!!! That's such an underrated novel . . . the writing (and especially in those final chapters) is just so exquisite. Sad, but beautiful. I love it :-)

I want a new adaptation too!!!! I'm not 100% sure if I can see Lily James as Fanny . . . but who knows, maybe she might surprise me! :-) I don't know who I would cast as Fanny, myself . . . maybe the girl who played Jane Eyre in the 2011 movie, Mia Wasikowska? But I really don't know. I see we both couldn't help but reprint Wentworth's letter in its entirety because... it's too perfect.

I would watch an adaptation of MP with Lily James and Richard Madden! (I would watch just about anything with them, really, but anyway...) That would be really cool.

I happen to have that very same fabric -- fancy that! I'm *hoping* to use a brand-new skirt pattern with it this spring. ::Crosses fingers::

Thanks for joining the party, dear Heidi!Hamlette (Rachel)https://www.blogger.com/profile/11961916847426233995noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8412327638222072810.post-48844723797986022852017-02-14T10:10:47.816-08:002017-02-14T10:10:47.816-08:00I thought of Lily James too as Fanny, but I don...I thought of Lily James too as Fanny, but I don't know about Richard Madden as Edmund. I like the end of the 2008/9 version, but its not a good adaptation (although the earlier one in the 1990's sounds AWFUL).

I'm glad you like Mansfield Park too. It seems to not be liked enough although I'm always dissatisfied at the end with Edmund, although I don't think that is why it isn't liked enough.
