The Liebster Award #2

A couple weeks ago, Emily tagged me with the Liebster Award again. Thank you, Emily!

You have one day to live. What are you going to do that day? ~ Probably what I generally do—also trying to write down as many of my book notes as possible.

You discover that you accidentally brought all of your book characters from a book you’ve written/all the characters from your favorite book you’ve read, to life. Is this a good thing or a bad thing? ~ It would be absolutely amazing!!

Cherries or peaches? ~ Peaches—ripe and juicy they’re so quintessentially “summer.”

If Jesus came back tonight, would you be ready for Him? ~ Absolutely!

What is your favorite Christian non-fiction book (besides the Bible)? ~ At the moment, maybe Job: A Son for Glory by Toby Sumpter.

Biographies or instruction books? ~ I actually haven’t read much of either, but probably biographies.

If given the chance, who is the one Bible character (besides Jesus) you’d want to meet? ~ Hmmm. I’ve been thinking about Rahab quite a bit lately, and also Boaz.

You’re walking down the road and see a child being bullied. What do you do? ~ I'd want to step in and find out what was going on.

If given the chance, who is the one fictional character (your books or books you’ve read) that you’d want to meet? ~ Oh, dear. I honestly don’t think I can answer this one, Emily! ;)

You’ve been asked to perform a song/instrument at a huge arena with four thousand people attending. Would you go or would you hide? ~ Well, hiding and then having people searching might get awkward, so I would probably go.

Without warning, you’re thrown back in time to a different era, where Christians are being persecuted. Would you try to find a way back home, help them first and then try to find a way home, or accept your fate and decide to live among them and help them? ~ Wow, they would most certainly have a lot to teach me! As far as getting home... I don’t know quite what I’d do. I would probably just have to try and quit myself well and trust that—if it was God’s will—whatever had gotten me there would get me back home again.

Thanks again for tagging me, Emily!

  2. What intriguing questions!

The one about kids getting bullied made me smile because I've realized recently that I have turned into that Bossy Mom who wades into the playground, grabs the child who's misbehaving (whether it's my child or not), and tells them to stop/behave/settle down. I remember those moms when I was a kid, and I was always like, "You're not my mom! Why're you yelling at me?" And now I'm that mom. Huh.

    1. Hamlette,
I enjoyed your story! Yes, since we've started babysitting regularly I've gotten a lot more comfortable setting certain parameters with other people's children (in a extremely nice way, I hope, of course ;))!

  3. Great questions! The last one was really thought-provoking, and it seems like good story material. :) I'd love to read a book about someone who thinks he/she's a pretty good Christian, and then have them thrown back in time and realize just how easy they have it. And, through the story, grow stronger in their faith....oh yes I really want to read this book... :)

I'd love to hear your thoughts and look forward to further confabulation. Please just be courteous to one and all. Oh, and I love thoughts on old posts, so comment away!

(Also of late -- what with time being finite, and Life Happening + managing multiple blogs and computer issues and all that -- I sometimes have to alternate between creating new content and replying to comments, but rest assured I'm thrilled to hear from each and every one of you and always hope to reply thoughtfully in full ASAP. <3)
